Would you like to position your company on the international stage? Bavaria’s foreign trade policy offers Bavarian companies a wide range of support for exploring and developing new markets abroad, with activities both abroad (External link) and in Bavaria (External link) .
The main website on the subject of foreign trade in Bavaria (External link) will give you a quick and precise overview of every partner’s services. As a company founder and entrepreneur, you will find answers to questions related to international business and details of the right contacts.
An export compass (External link) gives you an overview of aspects that every company has to get to grips with before venturing into foreign markets – from customs and legal matters to export financing and intercultural issues. You will also find links to further information there. In addition, the website features reports on the experience of others and the latest news from Bayern International (External link) and guides users to the event database with all activities for Bavarian companies who are active or wish to be active on the international stage.
The following programmes and services are also (especially) open to company founders to help them internationalise their business in the post-start-up phase:
- The Start-up International (External link) programme helps start-ups tap into new target markets. It is open to innovative technology/digital-oriented start-ups that were founded no more than five, or in exceptional cases eight, years ago.
- Business matching services in Bavarian and in selected foreign markets, such as in Silicon Valley. The preparation for such international matches is done by BayStartUP (External link) , among others.
- The delegation and entrepreneur trips (External link) organised by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs in conjunction with Bayern International are of course also open to start-ups, as is the trade fair participation programme (External link) run by Bayern International.
